Please pray with me the 9 day Novena of St. Therese for the reunion with my four year old dearest daughter, who was kidnapped away from me more than a month ago by her father, who we live separately, and he dissapeared with her, and until now not yet found. This pain is unbeareable, but in the power of Prayer, its bearable, and I trust in God, through his son Jesus Christ and all the saints especially Saint Therese. I started her Novena for the first time yesterday, and yesterday she sent me a real plant of Rose, with blossomming roses, through my boss at work and so I believe in Gods love through this action and in the power of prayer, and look forward everyday to see and have my daughter again, through Gods power, Amen. Please pray with me for her, Gods will to be done Amen. Stellah

2-May 21 2011 Judgement Day Information

FACTS about May 21, 2011

AT THIS TIME IN HISTORY THERE IS NO VALID, BIBLICAL EVIDENCE OR AUTHORITY WHICH INDICATES THAT WE CANNOT KNOW THE PRECISE DAY OF JUDGMENT. THE GREAT AMOUNT OF BIBLICAL SIGNS AND PROOFS ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THAT JUDGMENT DAY WILL BEGIN ON MAY 21st THIS YEAR.

Who or What is Family Radio?
Family Stations, Inc. is a non-profit, non-commercial, Christian radio network. It was established in 1958 with one FM station in the San Francisco bay area. Mr. Camping along with two other Christian men purchased KEAR with the sole intent of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today there are sixty-six owned and operated radio stations throughout the U.S.
Along with these domestic stations Family Stations also broadcasts its programming from numerous international broadcast facilities throughout the world.

Who is Harold Camping?
Harold Camping is the President and General Manager of Family Stations, Inc. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1942 with a degree in civil engineering. Mr. Camping has been a full-time volunteer since Family Radio's infancy and has never received compensation for his service.

What Qualifies Mr. Camping to make the pronouncement of May 21, 2011?
Mr. Camping has been a tireless student of the Bible for over five decades. The tens of thousands of hours he has spent analyzing the Bible has given him a unique perspective of the entirety of Scripture. He has dedicated his life to prepare himself to answer questions raised concerning God's Word to man.

What is the Open Forum program?
What began approximately fifty years ago as simply an informational program for local bay area listeners, blossomed into what is known today as the Open Forum.
The Open Forum program airs Monday through Friday evenings by radio, shortwave, and the Internet. It is an anonymous call-in program designed to allow anyone to ask any question related to the Bible.

How can Family Radio be so bold as to declare a date for Christ's return?
Given the overwhelming biblical evidence, the Family Stations, Inc. Board of Directors made a determination to dedicate all available resources to proclaim the warning of May 21, 2011. God has prepared Family Radio for this important time in history. Given the population of the world, radio and the internet are the perfect vehicles to deliver this warning.

What proof is there for the date of May 21, 2011?
The date May 21, 2011 was derived solely from evidence found in the Bible. Mr. Camping saw God had placed, in Scripture, many important signs and proofs. These proofs alert believers that May 21st of 2011 is the date Christ will return for His people and begin a period of the final destruction of the world.

What signs precede the Day of Judgment?
Jesus warned of several spiritual signs, such as the complete degradation of the Christian church, the devastating moral breakdown of society, the re-establishment of National Israel in1948, the emergence of the 'Gay Pride Movement', and the complete disregard of the Bible in all of society today as direct evidence of His return.

What is the Timeline of History?
The timeline of history is God's predetermined timetable for the unfolding of God's Gospel program for this world. In other words the length of time between the day God created this world in 11,013 B.C. and the day he will destroy it in October 21, 2011.
The discovery of this information built the foundation for what God would later reveal from the Bible as the date for the end.
Judgment Day on May 21, 2011 is the culmination of five decades of intensive biblical study by Mr. Camping and other bible teachers who have discovered the same biblical data.

What do past Biblical events have to do with today?
The precision with which God marked time in the past shows how precisely He keeps time and orders all the events of man.
God uses such phrases in the Bible as "in the fullness of time", or "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
God declares in the Bible that "He hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation"
Just as all Biblical events took place exactly as God determined, so too will all future events take place as He has planned.
God knew before He created this world the exact day He would destroy it, the question is whether God reveals His plan to others.

Does God reveal his plan?
Yes! All true believers throughout the world are part of Christ's family and therefore they not only belong to Jesus Christ, but they are one with Him as well.
Jesus calls His people His "friends" and "His beloved"
Jesus tells His "beloved" what He and His Father will do before They do it. Only, true believers are given spiritual eyesight to see and understand that they may be ready and prepared for the day of Christ's return.
All those who are not "born again" do not possess the spiritual eyesight to see this evidence. Sadly, Christ will come upon them as a "thief in the night".
Jesus speaks to his people through the pages of His word, the Bible.
His Spirit guides them "into all truth."
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."
God is the guardian of His secrets contained in the Bible and only He determines when or if His secrets are revealed. The Holy Spirit reveals to Christ's people the information needful for them not only to be ready, but also to warn the world, Christ is returning.
Armed with the vital information needed to know the day of Christ's return all true believers, as servants of God, are commanded to declare what Christ's Spirit has revealed. They must "blow the trumpet" and warn the world, Judgment is coming.

Can all of mankind understand that Judgment Day is coming?
Just as wise men of old sought to see the young Jesus, so too will the wise of today seek Christ before the end. "a wise man's heart (one who is born again) discerneth both time and judgment."
God promises His people they will be like Noah who was aware and ready for the day when the floodwaters of destruction came upon this earth.

What will take place on May 21?
On May 21, 2011 two events will occur. These events could not be more opposite in nature, the one more wonderful than can be imagined; the other more horrific than can be imagined.
A great earthquake will occur the Bible describes it as "such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great." This earthquake will be so powerful it will throw open all graves. The remains of the all the believers who have ever lived will be instantly transformed into glorified spiritual bodies to be forever with God.

On the other hand the bodies of all unsaved people will be thrown out upon the ground to be shamed.
The inhabitants who survive this terrible earthquake will exist in a world of horror and chaos beyond description. Each day people will die until October 21, 2011 when God will completely destroy this earth and its surviving inhabitants.

What is Family Radio specifically doing to warn the World?
Family Stations, Inc. broadcasts internationally in more than sixty-one different languages. Its programming can also be seen and heard worldwide on the Internet. Numerous billboards have been placed throughout the world warning of Judgment Day. While teams of volunteers carry literature concerning May 21 to many foreign countries. On top of this teams of RV caravans have been sent throughout the US to deliver this great message.

Why RV Caravans?
In September of 2010 Family Radio developed a plan to send out teams of caravans consisting of recreational vehicles. The caravans travel into towns and cities across the United States warning of Judgment Day, May 21, 2011. Each member of the caravan project is a volunteer, who has dedicated his or her life to warn the people of the U.S. and boldly proclaim this very important message.

Is Family Radio the only group declaring this message?
No! There are many other groups and individuals, sending out the warning of May 21, 2011. A growing groundswell of individuals and groups have become convicted of this message on each continent and are working hard to warn their neighbors, cities and countries.

Why Billboards?
Billboards have proven to be very effective. They are being placed in many U.S., Canadian and foreign cities, not only by Family Radio, but other organizations and individuals as well. Presently there are over 2000 billboards, posters, and bus posters throughout the world, with many going up weekly. The billboard messages are simple, and designed to clearly communicate the same message, Judgment Day May 21, 2011.

What are the listeners of Family Radio doing to prepare for that day?
Jesus gave explicit commands to His people as to how they are to behave until he returns. Jesus said "Go ye and teach all nations..." He also said to "occupy until I come." Believers who believe Christ will return on May 21 are commanded to warn the world and encourage concerned people to pray for God's mercy.

Will there be some sort of "gathering" before May 21, 2011?
No. This message is proclaimed to individuals not to specific groups, religions or nations. Family Radio is not a church or religion.
Each person must be "born again" in order to be ready for Christ's return and be ready to be "caught up" wherever they live in this world.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:40-41 "Then shall two be in the field: the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left"

What if May 21 ends and nothing occurs?
The Biblical evidence is too overwhelming and specific to be wrong. Christ's people can look with great confidence to this date because God promises His "beloved" He will not come upon them as a thief in the night.
God in His mercy has revealed the vital information needed to know the day. Judgment Day on May 21, 2011 will occur because the bible declares it. Anyone whom God has not saved will arrive at that day with no hope for salvation. God warns simply the "door will be shut."

What should a person do when he or she hears this message?
Cry out to God for mercy and fully recognize you are a sinner. One must approach God with a broken and contrite attitude, because after all every human being, without exception, is guilty before God.
Only God decides whom He will save and it is only Christ's 'gift' of salvation that can save one from destruction and the terrible events coming upon this world on May 21, 2011.

What do we say to all those who say Jesus will come as a thief in the night?
The Bible speaks of two kinds of people in the world. Those within God's kingdom he calls his "beloved." The other, much larger portion of the human race, God describes as those "without" or outside the kingdom of God.
Those "without" will say at the end of time "Peace and safety" These people will mistakenly believe all is well. But God warns, "then sudden destruction cometh upon them..."
The fact so many church leaders are insisting Christ will come as a "thief in the night" (that is, no one can know the day or the hour) is another very important Biblical 'sign' Christ's return is very close. Far too many people mistakenly presume they are at "Peace" with God and therefore in "safety."
Sadly, many assume no human being can know, because they mistakenly believe even Jesus himself does not know the day or hour of His own return.
The belief Christ will come "as a thief in the night" for everyone, including Christ's people, is the foundational basis for which most Christians, including church leaders and pastors reject May 21, 2011.
However, God has written in His Word he will tell his people exactly what he plans before he brings it to pass:
"Surely the LORD GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
God's "beloved" people are not in darkness that that day would come upon them as a thief in the night. God graciously has written in I Thessalonians 5 verse 4
"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

What about all those in the past who predicted Jesus would come in their day?
Many religious groups and individuals throughout history have predicted Jesus' return, but they were always wrong. No theologian, no matter how learned or intelligent, could know the day because God had not revealed it. The scriptural evidence needed to know the exact day could not be known before 1988, the year the 'Church age' ended. The Bible indicates prior to this year that date could not be known.

Many Church leaders of the past looked at political as well as natural events to prove their predictions and they were repeatedly wrong.
God is the guardian of His secrets. The words needed to know the time of the end "are closed up and sealed till the time of the end"
Only Christ Jesus, the "Lamb," is able to unseal the Bible, and reveal what is needful to know the day and the hour of His return.

Didn't Harold Camping say that the world would end in 1994?
In 1992 Mr. Camping wrote a book entitled 1994? In that book Mr. Camping highlighted the abundant evidence pointing to 1994 as a probable year of Christ's return. Given the abundance of information pointing 1994 and the urgency of time, the book 1994? was written. Mr. Camping felt as a teacher, he must share the Biblical information he had found and warn the world.
Important subsequent biblical information was not yet known, so this book was incomplete. Mr. Camping warned there may be something he overlooked therefore the question mark was prominently placed on the title.
Mr. Camping wrote on pages 494 and 495 of the book 1994? he believed 2011 was the most probable year of Christ's second coming. Given the fact 2011 is the 7000 year anniversary of the flood, but he misunderstood Jesus' teaching in Matthew 24 verse 22 "except those days should be shortened"
At the time Mr. Camping concluded the period of "great tribulation" would be shortened from twenty three years, as the Bible teaches, to 2300 evening mornings or six and one third years. .
Mr. Camping wrote in 1994?:
"God appears to be declaring that this final tribulation period should be a certain length of time. If it were that length of time, it seems it would fit perfectly with God's plan of 7000 years. Judgment Day would be 2011 A.D.
But for the sake of the elect those day will be shortened."

Why is there no question now?
In the nineteen years since 1994? Was written the biblical evidence for 2011 has greatly solidified. Today there is no longer any question, May 21, 2011 is the day in which Jesus Christ will return.

What do you say to those who insist we cannot know the precise date of Judgment Day?
For one to object to May 21st, 2011 one must have BIBLICAL AUTHORITY to do so. Objections cannot be based upon consensus, traditions or fear. God has given far too many biblical proofs for anyone to disregard May 21 simply because he or she does not like it.

The Bible has led us to May 21, 2011
This date is not the product of the mind of one man or a group of men.
It is the culmination of study of the entire Bible, both the Old and New Testaments.
Every word written in the original Biblical "autographs" were dictated by God, therefore all words, numbers and sentences in these original writings are to be trusted as coming from God.
The fact that this date is the result of the synthesis of all of Scripture causes May 21st, 2011 to take on very sobering factuality. It is no longer opinion, but a matter of fact.
May 21, 2011 is God's date. All other predictions are man's attempt to predict the end. So it becomes a matter of eternal life, or eternal death. One can no longer presume May 21st of this year will be just another normal day.
Each person must come to entrust their lives to what God has written in His Word the Bible and plead to Him for mercy. Otherwise God will come upon them with unmerciful vengeance on May 21, 2011.

Synopsis-Summary

The following is an excerpt from Chapter 5 of the booklet “To God Be The Glory".   It summarizes what has been recently learned from the Bible in connection with God’s judgment process for the world. You are encouraged to read the entire booklet for additional end time information.

1. The traditional view, which teaches that each and every unsaved person will literally stand before Christ as the Judge, and be found guilty, and be sentenced to be forever grievously tormented in a place called hell, is bankrupt.

2. The church age ended on May 21, 1988. The next period of time, which is precisely 8,400 days in duration, ends on May 21, 2011. It is called the great tribulation.

3. The great tribulation is divided into two periods of time. The first period runs from May 21, 1988, to September 7, 1994. During this time, virtually no one in the entire world became saved. The second period is 6,100 days, which runs from September 7, 1994, to May 21, 2011. During this period, no one is becoming saved inside the churches, but outside the churches a great multitude do become saved. The Bible particularly emphasizes that there will be many coming to salvation who identify with Ishmael, the son of Abraham. Moreover, it emphasizes that many of those who are the last to become acquainted with the Bible will be coming into the kingdom of God.

4. The entire 8,400-day period of the great tribulation will be a time when God is separating the true believers (the elect) from those who claim to be believers, but are not. God is making this separation by setting forth a number of tests, such as those that are found in the following principles.
  a. Every word in the original languages in which the Bible was written came from the mouth of God.
  b. Every word in the Bible is the law of God that has the same authority as God Himself.
  c. Believing is a work that we do, so no one can believe in such a way that he will become saved. All the work that had to be done to save someone was done by Christ, long before that person was born.
  d. Even though the Bible is about 1,900 years old, and since it was completed, no words have been added to it. In our day, when we are very near to the end of time, a great amount of new truth is being revealed by the Holy Spirit.
  e. The church age is finished and God commands people to leave the churches. Satan rules there, and God is no longer saving people within the churches.
  f. Christ has now revealed that He will not come as a thief in the night.
  g. God has given the true believers the exact day, month, and year of His return so that the world can be warned.
  h. God has given the true believers much new information from the Bible concerning the details of God’s judgment process.
  i. God is giving the entire world the precise time of the end of the world so that they have an opportunity to repent and cry to God for mercy, as did the Ninevites when Jonah warned them of impending destruction. Those who are true believers are earnestly concerned about what the Bible teaches, and they recognize it as their only authority. They will carefully check these teachings and believe them. For those who trust their churches, or their church creeds, or their own thinking, these teachings are a severe test. Those who are not elected to salvation will have great difficulty with them.

5. The great tribulation will end on May 21, 2011, which is also the date of the beginning of the Day of Judgment, which is also called “The Day of the Lord”. The Day of Judgment will continue for 153 days, until October 21, 2011, at which time the world will end.

6. May 21, 2011, will mark the end of God’s salvation program. On that day, the catching up (the rapture) of all the elect (those who are truly saved) will occur. The bodies of those who were saved will be resurrected as glorious spiritual bodies. The believers who are still living on that day will instantly receive new spiritual bodies, and they also will be caught up to be forever with Christ.

7. Almost seven billion people will be on earth at that time, and they will witness the rapture of the true believers. Those left behind will be divided into two groups. About one-third of them, or about two billion of them, will be church people. They have had some knowledge of Bible truth and believed they were Christians. The remaining group will consist of all of the rest of the peoples of the world who were left behind.
8. That awesome day, May 21, 2011, will be preceded by very ordinary days, during which time, all over the world, it will be business as usual.

9. However, on that day, there will be a super enormous earthquake, so that all over the world, every grave, every burial place will be thrown open. And the remains of people that had been buried there will be thrown out on the ground. (Except for the remains of the true believers because their remains will become a glorious body that is raptured.)

10. This earthquake will create great destruction over all the world, resulting in tsunamis, destroyed water systems and power plants, etc. Thus, there will be great plagues.

11. This will be a time of horrible sorrow for the church people. They had thought that they were the ones who were to be raptured. Suddenly, they will realize that they have been left behind and are under the full wrath of God. They will dramatically realize that they can no longer enjoy the comforts and desires of living in this present world. Much worse, they will know that they are forever cut off from eternal life with Christ and of being inheritors of the new heavens and the new earth.
In addition, they will be in great shame in the eyes of those who knew nothing of the Bible but who now see that their Christianity was totally false and hypocritical. More than that, they will be in great shame in the eyes of God and the heavenly principalities and powers. In God’s eyes, their death will be a shameful execution because they were completely under the curse of God. And they will experience physical pain, which results from the plagues that will occur all over the world. All of them will die (be shamefully executed in God’s eyes) on or before the last day, October 21, 2011.

12. The remaining group of people who never claimed to be Christians, and who were left behind when the believers were raptured, will also experience the sorrow of knowing that they have been cut off from the joys and aspirations of the life they were living on this earth. They, too, will endure great physical suffering, which will result from the plagues they are enduring. They, too, will be shamed in the eyes of God and the heavenly principalities and powers. They, too, will die on or before the last day, October 21, 2011. Their deaths, too, will be a shameful execution in the eyes of God and the heavenly principalities and powers.

13. At the time of the rapture, all the graves will be thrown open, and all the corpses, bones, ashes, dust, or whatever remains of people that were in them, and which had not been raptured, will be scattered like manure on the earth. The vultures, dogs, and worms will feed on the dead bodies. These people, at the time of their death, had no idea how great a penalty they had paid for their sins. Many of them were buried with great honor, but in God’s sight, their death was a shameful execution. Most of them realized their death would deprive them of the joys and hopes for this life, but none realized how great a penalty they paid in losing the birthright, the inheritance of eternal life and the new heavens and the new earth.

14. By having their remains thrown out of the tombs, it is one more shame those people must endure, even though they, themselves, will have been long dead and will not be aware of it. God emphasizes the shame of sin by throwing open all the burial places of those individuals so that their remains can be desecrated. Their remains are being shamed in the eyes of God, in the eyes of the principalities and powers in the heavens, and in the eyes of those left behind who are to experience the day of judgment. The greater their knowledge of the law of God, the greater will be their shame in the eyes of God and the heavenly creatures.
15. At the end of the 153 days of this great horror, which is called Judgment Day (May 21 to October 21, 2011), the end of this world will come. The earth and all of its works will be burned up, even as the whole universe will be destroyed. The 13,023-year history of the world and all that has transpired here will be remembered no more.

16. The true believers, who will be raptured, will live forever in the highest joy and happiness as the bride of Christ, and will reign with Him forevermore.

17. The usual means by which God brings judgment on sin, and condemns the sinner to endure all of the punishments for sin, as described in the Bible, is the law of God. But God also uses the lives of the true believers to be a condemnation on the sinner. This will be especially true on the day of the rapture. All the believers being raptured before the eyes of the church people who are left behind will be a tremendous witness that the Word of God, as followed by those who are raptured, is absolutely true and trustworthy. It will be a vivid demonstration and proof that the church people and the others left behind had not obeyed the Word of God.

18. The traditional understanding of God’s judgment plan, which teaches that the sinner will forevermore be in a place called hell, suffering fearful torment, is completely contrary to the teachings of the Bible.

Novena to St. Blaise

Novena in Honor of
St. Blaise

PREPARATORY PRAYER
Almighty and Eternal God! With lively faith and reverently worshiping Thy Divine Majesty, I prostrate myself before Thee and invoke with filial trust Thy supreme bounty and mercy. Illumine the darkness of my intellect with a ray of Thy heavenly light and inflame my heart with the fire of Thy divine love, that I may contemplate the great virtues and merits of the saint in whose honor I make this novena, and following his example imitate, like him, the life of Thy divine Son.

Moreover, I beseech Thee to grant graciously, through the merits and intercession of this powerful Helper, the petition which through him I humbly place before Thee, devoutly saving, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Vouchsafe graciously to hear it, if it redounds to Thy greater glory and to the salvation of my soul. Amen.

Prayer in honor of St. Blaise
O GOD, deliver us through the intercession of Thy holy bishop and martyr Blase, from all evil of soul and body, especially from all ills of the throat; and grant us the grace to make a good confession in the confident hope of obtaining Thy pardon, and ever to praise with worthy lips Thy most holy name. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Invocation of St. Blaise
St. BLASE, gracious benefactor of mankind and faithful servant of God, who for the love of our Savior did suffer so many tortures with patience and resignation; I invoke thy powerful intercession. Preserve me from all evils of soul and body. Because of thy great merits God endowed thee with the special grace to help those that suffer from ills of the throat; relieve and preserve me from them, so that I may always be able to fulfill my duties, and with the aid of God's grace perform good works. I invoke thy help as special physician of souls, that I may confess my sins sincerely in the holy sacrament of Penance and obtain their forgiveness. I recommend to thy merciful intercession also those who unfortunately concealed a sin in confession. Obtain for them the grace to accuse themselves sincerely and contritely of the sin they concealed, of the sacrilegious confessions and communions they made, and of all the sins they committed since then, so that they may receive pardon, the grace of God, and the remission of the eternal punishment. Amen.

Prayer

My LORD and my God! I offer up to Thee my petition in union with the bitter passion and death of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, together with the merits of His immaculate and blessed Mother, Mary ever virgin, and of all the saints, particularly with those of the holy Helper in whose honor I make this novena.

Look down upon me, merciful Lord! Grant me Thy grace and Thy love, and graciously hear my prayer. Amen.

Novena to Saint Benedict

Novena to Saint Benedict

Glorious Saint Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God's grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at your feet. I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne of God.
To you I have recourse in the dangers that daily surround me.
Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor.
Inspire me to imitate you in all things.
May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.

Graciously obtain for me from God those favors and graces which I need so much in the trials, miseries and afflictions of life.
Your heart was always full of love, compassion and mercy toward those who were afflicted or troubled in any way. You never dismissed without consolation and assistance anyone who had recourse to you.
I therefore invoke your powerful intercession, confident in the hope that you will hear my prayers and obtain for me the special grace and favor I earnestly implore.
{mention your petition}

Help me, great Saint Benedict, to live and die as a faithful child of God, to run in the sweetness of His loving will, and to attain the eternal happiness of heaven.
Amen.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
To your most Sacred Heart,
I confide this/these intention:

(mention your intention )

Only look upon me,  And then do
What your Sacred Heart inspires.

Let your Sacred Heart decide
I count on it, I trust in it
I throw myself on Your mercy,
Lord Jesus!
You will not fail me.

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I trust in You.
Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I believe in Your love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Your Kingdom come.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I have asked you for many favors,
But I earnestly implore this one.
Take it.

Place it in Your open, broken Heart;
And, when the Eternal Father looks upon It,
Covered with Your Precious Blood,
He will not refuse it.

It will be no longer my prayer,
But Yours, O Jesus.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I place all my trust in You.

Let me not be disappointed.

Amen.

Novena to Saint Martha

Novena to
Saint Martha

The prayer that follows must be recited for nine consecutive Tuesdays, lighting a candle on each Tuesday. This miraculous Saint has been known to grant anything, no matter how difficult it is, before the ninth Tuesday.
Saint Martha,
I resort to thy aid and protection.
As proof of my affection and faith,
I offer thee this light,
which I shall burn every Tuesday.

Comfort me in all my difficulties
and through the great favors thou didst enjoy
when the Savior was lodged in thy house,
intercede for my family,
that we be provided for in our neccessities.
I ask of thee, Saint Martha,
to overcome all difficulties
as thou didst overcome the dragon
which thou hadst at thy feet.
In the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen
Recite the following prayers...

Our Father...
Hail Mary...
Glory Be...

NOVENA TO ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE 2

NOVENA TO
ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE

O St. Maximilian Kolbe,
faithful follower of St. Francis,
inflamed by the love of God
you dedicated your life to the practice of virtue
and to works of the apostolate.
Look down with favor upon us
who devoutly confide in your intercession.
Having consecrated yourself to the Immaculate Virgin Mary,
you inspired countless souls to a holy life
and various forms of the apostolate
in order to do good to others
and to spread the kingdom of God.
Obtain for us the grace by our lives and labors
to draw many souls to Christ.
In your close conformity to our Divine Savior
you reached such an intense degree of love
that you offered your life to save a fellow prisoner.
Implore God that we,
inflamed by such ardent charity,
may through our living faith and our apostolic works
witness Christ to others,
and thus merit tojoin you in the blessed vision of God.

Amen.
(Readings and Meditations for each day of novena are given here and are to be followed each day by the closing daily Novena prayer shown below.)

Day 1: Maximilian's Call to Holiness
Reading: Raymond Kolbe was born of poor parents in Poland on January 7, 1894. Raymond came to love the Blessed Virgin quite early in life. This devotion did not prevent him from getting into trouble. His lively nature tried the patience of his mother. Once she remarked in exasperation, "Raymond, what is going to become of you?" After this incident there was a noticeable change in his behavior. His mother became worried. Upon questioning him, she found Raymond at first reluctant to tell her his "secret." Finally he told her how much her reproach had troubled him. He had prayed to Mary, and asked her the same question, "Mother of God, what will become of me?" She took compassion on the miserable boy and appeared to him holding in her hands two crowns, one white, the other red. She asked Raymond which one he would choose; the white signified purity, the red martyrdom. "I choose both" he answered.

Meditation: Every genuine conversion experience be it that of a mischievous child or that of a hardened adult involves the individual's humble recognition of his own weaknesses and capacity for sin. May Maximilian's humility be ours in our pursuit of Christian holiness through ongoing conversion.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)
Day 2: Maximilian Discerns God's Will
Reading: When Raymond Kolbe was a seminary student at Lwow, Poland, he bowed his face to the floor during Mass one day and promised the most holy Virgin that he would fight for her. It was a surprising thing to do, especially since he had already chosen to be a Franciscan priest. Not knowing how he was to fulfill his promise he began to picture to himself a struggle with material weapons. The more he thought about it the more he felt attracted to a military career, fighting for the freedom of his homeland under the banner of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Finally, he decided he had made a mistake: he would give up the idea of studying for the priesthood. He was on his way to inform the Minister Provincial of his decision when he was called to the parlor. His mother had just arrived for a visit. What Maria Kolbe told her son we do not know, but shortly afterward Raymond was invested in the Conventual Franciscan habit and took the name Maximilian Maria. On September 5, 1911, he made his first vows. The following year, another crisis arose, and again Maximilian Kolbe's destiny hung in the balance. His superiors had decided to send him to Rome for philosophical and theological studies, but Friar Maximilian requested that his name be stricken from the list. That night he reconsidered. Had he not placed his own will in the way of God's will as expressed by his superiors? Was it not better to obey? The following morning he told his Provincial that he was prepared to go to Rome.

Meditation: Discernment of the direction that God wishes our lives to take requires an absolute truthfulness with oneself and God. May Maximilian's inner honesty be ours as we strive continually to do God's will.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 3: Maximilian's Consecration to Mary
Reading: It was in Rome that Friar Maximilian learned the true meaning of his call to fight for Mary. Exposed to the rabid anti-Christian forces that burgeoned in Europe he saw the need for a new era of evangelization that would bring all peoples back to God. Suddenly during prayer one morning, Friar Maximilian was enlightened to understand the critical importance of the role God had given Mary in this work. Meditating on the Miraculous Medal conversion story of Alphonse Ratisbonne, a young nineteenth-century Jewish agnostic, Friar Maximilian was illumined to perceive Mary's role as the Holy Spirit's indispensable partner and instrument in the evangelizing work of conversion and growth in holiness. He saw that this work was a spiritual war with Satan, and that Mary needed consecrated souls to serve as her knights in this battle. Maximilian lost little time putting this inspiration into action. On October 16, 1917, he and six fellow Franciscans established the Militia of the Immaculata (MI) movement. Its goal was as simple and vast as the Church's mission: the interior transformation of all souls in Christ through the Immaculata. To achieve this goal, Friar Maximilian proposed a practical spirituality of "Total Consecration to Mary." He and all "MIs" would make a free and total offering of themselves to Our Lady, so that they might become instruments in her work for Christ.

Meditation: True consecration to Mary is a Marian way of livinga life of close union with Christ through the Holy Spirit. May we find in Maximilian's spirituality of Marian consecration a powerful means for living Christ's Gospel and spreading it to others.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 4: Maximilian's Faith
Reading: After his ordination, Father Maximilian returned to Poland in July 1919, worn by tuberculosis. Despite his poor health, he was assigned to the Franciscan friary at Cracow where the climate is fatal to tubercularsas as university professor. Not only was his body exhausted but at times his soul was harrowed by ridicule from some of his own Franciscan confreres. He had hoped on returning to interest all the friars at Cracow in his work. A good number of priests, brothers and student friars did respond to his call, but others shrugged their shoulders. They listened to him, then laughed among themselves, calling him a bore and a dreamer. One friar even found a nickname, which delighted the detractors for awhile: "Marmalade." The young priest walked very slowly, like animated marmalade, to avoid any abrupt movement that could provoke hemorrhage. Maximilian bore this mockery with patience and mildness. Faith, alone, allowed him to find in God and the Immaculata the affirmation and support that some of his confreres initially denied him.

Meditation: When all seems lost and one is stripped of everything, there remains one vital source of spiritual energy: faith. May Maximilian's faith be ours, especially when adversity robs us of the affirmation and support we crave.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 5: Maximilian's Hope
Reading: Through Father Maximilian's efforts, the influence of the MI movement began to spread through Poland in the 1920s. As distances became too great for his one unaided human voice to reach, Maximilian realized that only the printed word would suffice. With a complete lack of capital, but full trust in providence, he began publishing the Knight of the Immaculata (Rycerz Niepokalanej) a sixteen-page magazine. Once when bankruptcy seemed imminent, he threw himself at the feet of the Immaculata and begged for help. As he was about to leave the church, he found an envelope on the altar with these words on it, "For thee, O Immaculate Mother." Inside was the exact sum to pay the debt. In 1927 when quarters for his printshop became too small, he entered into negotiations to purchase a large tract of land for a whole "City of the Immaculata" (Niepokalanow), where he and the friars would expand their apostolate. However, he again lacked capital. He explained to the landowner, Prince Drucki-Lubecki, that he could not afford the price. Abruptly the Prince decided to make a free gift of it to Maximilian and the friars. By 1939 Niepokalanow had become the largest Franciscan friary in the world with over 700 friars and students. The circulation of their magazine exceeded 750,000 copies per month.

Meditation: When the customary human solutions to the complexities that beset our lives prove ineffective, we are placed in a situation of total dependence upon God. May Maximilian's unflagging hopea complete trust in God's providencebe ours throughout the course of our life.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 6: Maximilian's Sanctification of Labor
Reading: Father Maximilian's zeal for the inner conversion and sanctification of all people was not confined by national boundaries. With appropriate ecclesiastical permission, he and four other friars sailed to the Orient in 1930. They established themselves in Japan, where they hoped to publish the Knight of the Immaculata in Japanese. As a condition to publish the magazine, Father Maximilian was obliged to teach philosophy in the diocesan seminary. In exchange, the bishop would allow diocesan priests to help in the translating of articles into the Japanese language. Remarkably, Father Maximilian was able to publish the first issue of Seibo no Kishi within one month of his arrival. Father Maximilian soon founded a second City of the Immaculata, Mugenzai no Sono. Throughout his apostolic labors in Japan, Father Maximilian suffered constantly from high fevers, violent headaches, and abscesses, due to overwork and an inadequate diet. He concealed these problems so well, however, that for some time only his most intimate companions had any awareness of the seriousness of his condition.

Meditation: Work can serve to enhance our dignity as God's people, when we work diligently to nourish our families and build up God's kingdom. May Maximilian's zealous commitment to each task at hand stimulate our own religious zeal for the daily work that God has entrusted to us.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 7: Maximilian's Obedience
Reading: Scarcely two months after his arrival in Japan and the first publication of a Japanese version of the Knight of the Immaculata, Father Maximilian was summoned by his superiors to defend this enterprise at the Province Chapter in Lwow, Poland. Obedient as always, he left Japan for this meeting, but his heart was heavy because there was no one capable of maintaining the gigantic work in his absence. Father Maximilian had no doubts that only through full obedience would his own labors for the Immaculata's cause be fruitful. At the chapter, the very future of the Japanese Niepokalanow was put to question. The expenses were heavy, and the capitular friars discussed the prudence of undertaking such a foolish venture. Father Maximilian followed his usual tactics. Having explained all his arguments and spoken from the abundance of his heart, he remained silent, waited, closed his eyes, with his hands under his capuche he held his rosary and very slowly while his superiors discussed the business he summoned his council, reciting innumerable Hail Marys. He won on all scores and returned to Japan with full permission to continue the Immaculata's work there.

Meditation: Submission to legitimate authority frees us from the tyranny of our own willfulness, stubbornness or selfishness. May Maximilian's obedience to authority in the Church move our consciences along the lines of a more generous obedience to Christ's chosen representatives.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 8: Maximilian and the Eucharist
Reading: Under Father Maximilian's spiritual leadership, the friars of Niepokalanow and Mugenzai no Sono had incredible success in their press apostolate. Their secret for success was a community life of prayer centered on the Eucharist. In the mid-1930s, when the friars of Niepokalanow were about to inaugurate their first newspaper, the Maly Dziennik (Little Journal), they had formidable opponents in the secular press of Poland. For nine days, the friars prayed day and night before the Blessed Sacrament. The newspaper venture met with a tremendous success. Years later, Father Maximilian initiated a program of daytime adoration of the Eucharist at Niepokalanow. This began on December 8, 1939, the day on which Father Maximilian and the friars were released from a three-month imprisonment by their Nazi captors. He immediately introduced adoration of the Eucharist in order to increase his "active forces of prayer." Every half hour, day after day, a fresh group of four friars took its place before our Lord in the tabernacle. This became the friars' primary apostolate.

Meditation: For every Christian, prayer is not a luxury but a necessity. Maximilian knew that prayer before the Eucharist is the ultimate source for fruitful Christian living. May our own reverence for the Eucharist reflect this same conviction.

(Follow with the daily novena prayer at the bottom)

Day 9: Maximilian's Love
Reading: On February 17, 1941, Father Maximilian was arrested by the Gestapo for the second time. Subjected to extreme cruelty throughout his captivity, Father Maximilian prepared himself and his fellow prisoners for the ultimate moment: "They will not kill our souls . . . they will not be able to deprive us of the dignity of a Catholic. We will not give up." Love was to impel Father Maximilian to become a "martyr of charity" in the notorious Auschwitz concentration camp. After the escape of a prisoner, ten inmates were condemned to death by starvation. Sergeant Francis Gajowniczek cried out, "What will happen to my poor family?" At that moment, Father Maximilian slipped out of line, and boldly asked the commandant if he could take the place of Sergeant Gajowniczek. The astounded officer consented. Amidst the horror of the death bunker, love triumphed. Daily prayers, rosaries and hymns were heard as Father Maximilian ministered to his nine fellow victims. Finally after two weeks, on August 14, 1941, the Nazis hastened Maximilian's death by the injection of carbolic acid.

Meditation: True charity always places the needs of others ahead of our own because true charity sees Christ himself mirrored in the face of others. May Maximilian's total love for God and neighbor always through the Immaculata characterize our own approach to Christ in others.

Daily Novena Prayer for St. Maximilian's Intercession

O Lord Jesus Christ, who said,
"Greater love than this no man has that a man
lay down his life for his friends,"
through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe,
whose life illustrated such love,
we beseech you to grant our petitions.

[State your intention(s) here...]

Through the Militia of the Immaculata movement,
which Maximilian founded,
he spread a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world.
He gave up his life for a total stranger
and loved his persecutors,
giving us an example of unselfish love for all people,
a love that was inspired by true devotion to Mary.
Grant, O Lord Jesus,
that we too may give ourselves entirely without reserve
to the love and service of our heavenly Queen

NOVENA TO SAINT RAPHAEL

NOVENA TO SAINT RAPHAEL

(The Novena Prayer to Saint Raphael must be said for nine consecutive days.)
Glorious Archangel Saint Raphael,
great prince of the heavenly court,
you are illustrious
for your gifts of wisdom and grace.
You are a guide of those who journey
by land or sea or air,
consoler of the afflicted,
and refuge of sinners.
I beg you,
assist me in all my needs
and in all the sufferings of this life,
as once you helped
the young Tobias on his travels.
Because you are the medicine of God,
I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities
of my soul and the ills that afflict my body.
I especially ask of you the favour

(Make your request here...)

and the great grace of purity
to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

St. Raphael,
of the glorious seven
who stand before the throne of Him
who lives and reigns,
Angel of health,
the Lord has filled your hand
with balm from heaven
to soothe or cure our pains.
Heal or cure the victim of disease.
And guide our steps when doubtful of our ways.

Novena to Saint Peregrine 2

Novena to
Saint Peregrine 2

(To obtain cancer cures)

St. Peregrine was born in 1260 at Forlì, Italy to an affluent family. He lived a comfortable life as a youth, and politically opposed the papacy.  After he experienced the forgiveness of St. Philip Benizi, he changed his life and joined the Servite order.  He was ordained a priest, and later returned to his home to establish a Servite community.  There he was widely known for his preaching, penances, and counsel in the confessional.  He was cured of cancer, after he received a vision of Christ on the cross reaching out His hand to touch his impaired limb.  He died in 1345 and was canonized in 1726.  He is the patron of cancer patients.

Repeat this prayer for nine days...

Oh great Saint Peregrine,
you who have been called "The Mighty"
and "The Wonder-Worker"
because of the numerous miracles
which you have obtained from God
for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh
this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being,
and who had recourse to the source of all grace
when the power of man could do no more.
You were favored with the vision of Jesus
coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction.
Ask of God and Our Lady,
the cure of these sick persons whom we entrust to you.

(State your intention here...)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession,
we shall sing to God,
now and for all eternity,
a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Amen.

Glorious wonder-worker,
St. Peregrine,
you answered the divine call with a ready spirit,
and forsook all the comforts of a life of ease
and all the empty honors of the world
to dedicate yourself to God
in the Order of His holy Mother.
You labored manfully for the salvation of souls.
In union with Jesus crucified,
you endured painful sufferings with such patience
as to deserve to be healed miraculously
of an incurable cancer in your leg
by a touch of His divine hand.
Obtain for me the grace to answer every call of God
and to fulfill His will in all the events of life.
Enkindle in my heart a consuming zeal
for the salvation of all men.
Deliver me from the infirmities
that afflict my body...

(State your need here...)

Obtain for me also a perfect resignation
to the sufferings it may please God to send me,
so that, imitating our crucified Savior
and His sorrowful Mother,
I may merit eternal glory in heaven.

St. Peregrine,
pray for me
and for all who invoke your aid.

Novena to St Theresa of the Child Jesus

Novena to
St Theresa
of the Child Jesus

First, recite the prayer...

O St. Therese of the Child Jesus,
who during your short life on earth
became a mirror of angelic purity,
of love strong as death,
and of wholehearted abandonment to God,
now that you rejoice in the reward of your virtues,
cast a glance of pity on me
as I leave all things in your hands.
Make my troubles your own,
speak a word for me to Our Lady Immaculate,
whose flower of special love you were
to that Queen of Heaven
"who smiled on you at the dawn of life."
Beg her powerful intercession
the grace I yearn for so ardently at this moment...
